So I was about to create a Beauty and the Beast Tag just for fun before the movie comes out, but then I searched through a few blogs and guess what, there’s already tons of them out there! And they’re way better than the one I had in mind, so even though I wasn’t tagged, I picked my fave and did it. (The creator of this tag wasn’t mentioned in the posts I read so I’m sorry I can’t link it back to their blog!)
Now the fun!
“Tale As Old As Time” – A popular theme, trope, or setting you will never get bored of reading
Anything about a family of witches, or wizards, or magic in general. Because it’s MAGIC.
“Belle” – A book bought for its beautiful cover
that’s just as beautiful inside too
Because this book was just the definition of beautiful. If you read it, you know; if you haven’t … um … what are you still doing here?
“Beast” – A book you didn’t expect much
from but pleasantly surprised you
Had zero expectations–loved the whole thing!
“Gaston” – A book everyone loves that you don’t
It wasn’t exactly bad, and I loved the characters, but I just felt like I had already read this book. Maybe I’d been reading too many books of the same genre in that year!
“Lefou” – A loyal sidekick you can’t help but
love more than their counterpart
Aedion, from the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas. Okay, this one was hard, like really hard, but as much as I love Aelin, I just can’t help loving Aedion a tiny bit more. First: He’s craaaazy loyal; you have to admire that. And second: He’s funny and hot as hell.
I mean …
“Mrs Potts, Chip, Lumière & Cogsworth” – A book that helped you through a difficult time or that taught
you something valuable
The Perks of Being a Wallflower taught me many valuable things and was my most loyal companion during my first solo trip–which wasn’t all sunshine and glitters.
“Something there” – A book series that you weren’t into at first but picked up towards the end
The Selection. But in fact, that is a lie. I loved this series from the very first chapters of the first novel, but by the third I was done pretending I wasn’t completely devouring the books. So I guess the title here would be: A book series you were shy to admit that you loved but grew to be proud of by the end of the series.
Also, call me harsh, but when I don’t like the first novel of a series, I usually don’t give a chance to the second.
“Be our guest” – A fictional character you’d
love to have over for dinner
Kaz Brekker. Because he’s crazy, and I’m in love with him.
That’s it! I tag the following bloggers:
