Last week I was in Toronto for the first leg of my one-month trip through Canada, and it wasn’t my first time visiting so I decided to spice things up and seek a few different and beautifully weird things through the city.
1. Biblio-mat
This vintage-looking machine is located at a bookstore named The Monkey’s Paw, and if you give it a toonie ($2) it gives you a surprise book in exchange! All the books are old and unique so it’s even more awesome.
I got The Flying Dutchman!
2. The Rock
A billion-year-old rock has been put back together in the middle of the Village of Yorkville Park, which is a really nice park to wander through!
3. Bata Shoe Museum
So, I know this is actually pretty popular, and it’s on most lists of things to do in Toronto, but when you stop to think about it, a museum of shoes is kind of weird. A good weird, though. I’m so glad I went, this museum is so interesting.
Tip: Pay what you can on Thursdays from 5-8 p.m.
4. Thomas Fisher Library of Rare Books
Not weird per say, but not exactly what pops into mind when thinking of things to do in Toronto. And it’s awesome.
5. Puppy Fountain
Found this as I wandered. Pretty awesome, right?
6. Half House
Yep, that is exactly what it is. Half a house.
This is it! The weird things I got to see/do in Toronto on my last trip! I just love this city; always new things to discover!
Have you done any of these things?
Do you know more weird/unique things I should try out next time I go?
Please let me know in the comments!
Haha these are all ‘weird’. Don’t think I had heard of any of them but that’s what makes a blog post like this so great!

I love the half house!!
I would have recommended going to “Honest Ed’s”. The oldest, biggest, weirdest discount store I have seen…

But it was closed down December 31st of last year…. Sad, really. It was a “must” in town!
