I Need You to Choose my Next Destination

i want you to choose

You got that right. I need YOU.

I want to go to Central or South America next fall but I just can’t decide where to exactly. And since I’m going to be posting about that trip here, I wonder what you’d be more interested in reading about!

It’s simple.

I have three options I’m most eager to visit. Let me know in the comments where you want me to go, and next November, I’ll go.

That’s right.

I’ll pick the option with the most votes and go.

Just like that.

So here are the options.

Option 1: Nicaragua + Costa Rica

Featuring: Volcanoes, surfing, awesome national parks, and more!

Option 2: Belize + Guatemala

Featuring: Great Blue Hole, volcanoes, the barrier reef, and more!

Option 3: Paraguay + Bolivia

Featuring: Yungas Road, Iguazu Falls, Lake Titicaca, and more!

It would mean the world to me if you took a minute to vote in the comments! If you’ve been to these destinations, let me know your favourite. If you’ve never been, let me know which you’re most curious about.

But, please VOTE. (I just really don’t know what to choose.)

  1. Such a tough choice! Guatemala was my probably my least favourite in CA, but it depends what you are into. Many people love it there for hiking / outdoor activities, but that’s just not really my thing. Belize is so relaxing and AMAZING for snorkelling / marine life, and I found the food really good too. However there isn’t much there in the way of culture – museums, art, music, etc. – so it’s more of a chilled beach vacation. Nicaragua (where I am currently!) has a lot of variety – amazing beaches, surfing, beautiful colonial towns, volcanoes, hiking, partying – but it feel’s like the most “touristy” of the countries I’ve visited so far. Hard to get away from other tourists / backpackers and have an authentic or unique experience.

Overall it really depends what you enjoy most while travelling, as each one offers something completely different. But all amazing destinations in their own way!

I go to Costa Rica tomorrow, so feel free to follow along with my journey on my blog or Instagram to see what it’s like!

  2. Looks like I’ll be getting heavy doses of central/southern America photos over the next year or so haha – my childhood friend is moving back to South America and she’s travelling around a bit with her boyfriend until they decide on a place to park for a while.

I don’t know much about any of those places, and hot places aren’t much of my cup of tea (just seeing a photo of a hot place makes me want snow haha), so any of these three options. 🙂

… I know, I was an excellent help hahahaha

    1. Oh wow! Your friend is lucky! It’s great to be able to just travel around a country that way an park somwhere we like best!

Liviing in Quebec, I’ve had enough snow for a lifetime ahah. So it’s going to be nice for once to escape a bit of the harsh winter and get some sun 🙂

Always a pleasure to hear from you, Marica! 😀
