The countdown to Christmas has begun, so there’s no better time to do a TOP 10 of the Fictional Homes where I’d love to spend the holidays. Without further ado, here I go:
10. Beautiful Creatures, Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
Remember the huge, awesome, magical mansion in which Lena lives? Yeah, I could definitely spend Christmas there.
9. Amulet, Kazu, Kibuishi
A huge, badass robot house that walks? With robot friends all over the place? Anytime!
8. Love in the Time of Cholera, Gabriel Garcia Marquez
There was something so peaceful and homey about that villa.
7. The Selection, Kiera Cass
I mean, it’s a god damn castle, am I right? Of course, I want to spend Christmas there.
6. The Lord of the Rings, J. R. R. Tolkien
OH MY GOD CHRISTMAS IN A HOBBIT HOUSE THAT WOULD BE HEAVEN.
5. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Ransom Riggs
Call me weird, but I would definitely want to celebrate Christmas in a house trapped in a time-warp with a bunch of peculiar children.
4. Divergent, Veronica Roth.
Admit it: when you read book 2 and 3 of this series, you totally missed the Dauntless Compound, right? And wouldn’t looove to gather there with the dauntless crew for Christmas?
3. Bridges of Madison County, Robert James Waller
I fell in love with that house when I read this book. It seemed like it was in a hidden corner of the world nobody knows about, and I could totally see myself there for the holidays, with a pile of books and unlimited tea and cookies.
2. A Court of Mist and Fury, Sarah J. Maas
OH MY GOD I WANT TO GO TO THE NIGHT COURT SO MUCH PRETTY MUCH ANY TIME DURING THE YEAR BUT YEAH IF IT’S CHRISTMAS IT WOULD BE LIKE WOW I MIGHT CRY IT’S JUST ❤.
1. Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling
Just about ANYWHERE in Harry Potter is the ideal Christmas retreat. The Burrow (OMG WOW), Sirius’s House (GAAAAH THE FEELS), Hogwarts (THAT’S TOO PERFECT I’M DYING). Anywhere. I honestly think I’d be happy to spend Christmas in Harry’s cupboard. No kidding.
That’s it for me! Where would you guys want to spend Christmas? I want to hear your answers in the comments, or feel free to make a post of your own and tag me so I can read your answers!
Happy holidays, everyone!
And happy reading!
