Hello fellow readers! How was your month of March?
It was a slumpy one for me, let me tell you.
I got into the worst reading AND writing slump, but I’m glad to say that I got myself out of them both (you might have read my post on How to Get Out of a Writing Slump), and that I’m now officially on fire!
I legit feel like this:
Unfortunately, though, my reading slump took 2/3 of March so I didn’t read a big total of books in the end, but whateva. Here they are:
1. A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine L’Engle
It was a dark and stormy night.
I found this book super original and I’m really looking forward to watching the movie! Also, that was the book of the month of March, so Book Discussion here!
2. The Winner’s Curse, by Marie Rutkoski
“You don’t, Kestrel, even though the god of lies loves you.”
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! THE FEELS I GOT READING THIS BOOK!
I truly can’t wait to get my hands on book two.
Like it physically hurts to wait.
3. Our Dark Duet, Victoria Schwab
”Doesn’t do much good,” she’d said. ”To fear one kind of death and not another.”
Okay. So technically, I haven’t finished reading this book yet.
But I only have 30 pages left, so I’m going to finish in the next 30 minutes, I swear! I mean, I read 400 pages out of 500 in March so it felt unfair to give this book to April, you know what I mean?
Anyway, I am LOVING IT and I can’t wait to know how it ends. Even though I’m pretty sure it doesn’t end well since the author replied to my tweet like this.
But I still can’t wait!
Book Club April
And now for the book of April!
I’ve decided to match this one with another book club that I’ve just joined #TheCursedBookClub, because we’ll be reading a book that’s been on my TBR for a while and I’m super excited to read it! 😀
…. Drumroll ….
Stalking Jack the Ripper, by Kerri Maniscalco
More info about the Book Club here.
That’s it for me!
What did you guys read in March?
What’s on your TBR for April?
Let me know in the comments!
Have a great month!
