Warcross – Playlist Tag

My dear blogger friend Nimika from Wordhaven tagged me for this really cool bookish tag, where you pick a book and build a playlist that fits the world of the story. Check out her awesome Book Playlist on The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer!

For my part, I decided to go with Marie Lu’s Warcross. I decided to call my Book Playlist BADASS TEENAGE GIRL WEARING SUNGLASSES AT MIDNIGHT JUST CAUSE. Though, I hesitated a long time with COOLER THAN Y’ALL.

  1. Confident, by Demi Lovato
Because in that video, Demi just reminds me of Emika. Like, badass criminal that works for no one but her.
  2. Beating Heart, by Ellie Goulding
Cause that’s like the perfect dystopian love song.
  3. Midnight City, by M83
I just picture this being the music people hear when they put on the glasses.
  4. Lovers in Japan, by Coldplay
    Duh.
  5. One Girl Revolution, by Superchick
    Double duh.
  6. Sunglasses at Night, by Corey Hart
Well, because it’s pretty difficult to find a song about glasses out there. I dare you to find one people. And because I freaking loooove this song.  It does have a certain futuristic/serious-business-you-may-want-to-bring-a-gun-with-those-lenses sound to it.

  1. That’s the best name of a playlist, ever. I’m going to come to you for playlist naming suggestions from now on. 😀
Also, I love Confident and I’m actually going to hear more of the songs from your playlist (best way to come across new songs) . 💛
