My Thoughts

I honestly didn’t know this was a bridge book between the third and fourth installement of this EPIC story, so I’ll admit I was a bit disappointed when I opened this bookmail to find out it was 400 pages less than the previous ones, and that not much action was happening. At first I was even a tad angry that Sarah J. Maas hadn’t just spent her time working on Book 4 instead of this bridge book because my soul needs DRAMA, ya know?

That being said, I realized after a couple of chapters that I grandly needed this book because I’d completely forgotten a few major plotlines or characters, so this was a nice refresh. Also, I think the characters grandly needed this little winter of peace and happinness. Like, honestly, they DESERVED it.

“My mate—who had worked so hard and so selflessly, all without hope that I would ever be with him. We had both fought for that love, bled for it. Rhys had died for it.”

This novel felt a little bit like that Christmas Disney movie of Beauty & the Beast, where all of your favorite characters are finally happy, exchanging gifts, eating a lot, and having snowball battles.

It was nice.

BUT NOW I REALLY NEED BOOK 4 AND DRAMA PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.

That’s it for me!

What did you think of ACOFAS?

Had you also forgotten a lot from ACOWAR?
(Like, I’d actually forgotten that Rhys had died!)

  1. I just recently got done with the entire trilogy and I’m waiting to get my hands on the novella. It actually has a lot of negative reviews rolling in because “nothing much really happens” but that doesn’t even bother me because after all the heartache of the previous books, I could do with some fluff, ya know? 😀

    1. Yeah exactly. Like I didn’t expected anything to happen really once I knew it was a bridge between book 3 & 4, so my expectations were at the right place. It just really has a cozy feeling to it. You just wanna read it by the fire with a blanket and tea and that’s just heaven 🙂
