June Wrap-Up + July Book Club

June was kind of a pain in my ass. New job, new flat, so many shitty things to take care of! But now I’ve got my own place and it’s becoming THE awesomest Reading/Writing Oasis ever, so it’ll all be worth it.

Whining aside, here’s what I read in June:

Dividing Eden, Joelle Charbonneau

dividing eden

Always and Forever, Lara Jean, Jenny Han

always and forever

Nooooooo, it’s over!!!! 😦

A Court of Frost and Starlight, Sarah J. Maas

Obsidio, Kristoff & Kaufman

I have to admit I didn’t enjoy this one as much as Illuminae and Gemina, but it was still pretty awesome and oh my god another crazy good series that is over now what will I do with myself???

My Top Three Books of the Month

Unfu*k Yourself, Gary John Bishop

Well, this was grandly needed, so thank you Gary John Bishop.

Is Everyone Hanging Out Wihtout Me? Mindy Kaling

I’m a HUUUUGE fan of The Office, and of Mindy’s work, and oh my god this was so funny and honest and lovely. I’m definitely going to read her other book!

Leah on the Offbeat, Becky Albertalli

leah on the offbeat

LOVED IT. Definitely my favorite book of the month! Thank god for Becky’s books.

July Book Club

I’ve had a few suggestions for future book clubs (thank you guys! I love hearing your suggestions!) so this one is a book that Isabella wanted to read! (Hi Isabella!)

We’ll be reading A List of Cages, by Robin Roe.

Can’t wait to start reading it!

Book Discussion on the 20th!

Until then, happy reading, guys!

    1. Two is better than none, Marica! And you usually read classic books which are much longer than the genres I read so it’s really impressive that you’ve managed to fit two in there through overtime at work!
(Also, naps are the best, haha.)

  1. For some reason, I keep avoiding A List Of Cages. I KNOW for a fact that this book is going to be one of my favorites of the year, it’s going to break my heart and I’m still going to love the hell out of it, but then WHY CAN’T I JUST READ IT. Moods are so weird sometimes.

    1. Yep, well same for me apparently haha. I’ve been postponing reading it for so long (can you believe my copy is actually an ARC?? Like I got it BEFORE the release date and I still haven’t read it?) And I really thought I’d read it in July but it suddenly felt crucial to me to reread the Harry Potter books and Sophie Kinsella’s chick lits. And yet I just KNOW I’m going to love A List of Cages!?? (Why do we do this to ourselves??)
