2019 was a great year for me in terms of writing (my first book got published!) and living (I spent the summer writing and doing small roadtrips and camping trips with friends, and I went to Prague and Austria again in May!) but it wasn’t what I’d hoped for in terms of reading unfortunately.

I only read 44 books instead of the 52 I’d set for myself, and I feel like I DNFd a lot of books this year, but I’m still really proud of everything I’ve accomplished in the last year.
But without further ado, here’s my Top 10 Books I Read in 2019!
TEN: Sorcery of Thorns
Such a magical world! For every book lover! 🙂
NINE: Saga, Volumes 4-9
This series is better end well because I love them all so much!
EIGHT: The Cost of Living
I loved the first one so much, and this was just as amazing. Writers, travelers, or anyone really, you should read these.
SEVEN: Big Little Lies
I LOVED THIS SO MUCH. It had me laughing and crying and screaming because I needed to know so bad WHAT HAD HAPPENED DURING THAT FREAKING TRIVIA NIGHT.
Amazingly-written.
SIX: Des Papillons pis des Fins du Monde
The third of a series I read from a Quebec author that I absolutely adore. These are just soooo funny and lovely.
FIVE: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Had to do a reread of a Harry Potter book because I was so damn nostalgic. And I was surprised at how much I loooved this one, in my memories it was my least favorite.
FOUR: The Art of Feeling
When I heard this book was about a teenager with congenital insensitivity to pain (like my book Devonna!) I HAD to read it. AND OMG I COULDN’T PUT THIS DOWN.
THREE: Maybe Someday
Colleen Hoover has a way to write books I just devour. And this one is probably my favorite. The feels. THE SONGS.
TWO: A Darker Shade of Magic
Okay, okay, THIS. This was like a movie in my head while I read, and it was so damn amazing. And I’m currently reading the second book of the trilogy and I cannot wait to see what happens.
ONE: The Raven Cycle Series
AHHHHHHH. I wrote a whole post on 10 Reasons Why this Series is Awesome
Just wow.
That’s it for me!
How was your year in terms of reading?
What were some of your favorites?
Let me know in the comments!
Great list! I need to catch up on the Saga series and I still need to read the final book in the Raven Cycle. 😂 Great list!

I keep seeing “A Darker Shade of Magic” (and the first book but I can’t remember its title) pop up in my searches on BookOutlet.com whenever I’m looking for new books to add to my wishlist. The next time that the site has a good sale, I’ll be ordering it! (Thank goodness that my sister and mom know how much I shop on BookOutlet, because I got a good amount of Christmas gift card $$ to shop there haha… they can’t complain about my book piles since they’re basically enabling it haha)
44 books is still good! Good luck with your 2020 reading! 🙂 Do you have any goals for 2020?

Tons of goals! Too many goals! I’m planning on making a post about it real soon to figure out which to prioritize exactly! But number one is definitely to publish my first book in French 🙂 and number two to go to Japan! (Destination may change, but current mood is defo Japan haha) What are your goals? 🙂
