Forks Vibes Activated

Sooo, Midnight Sun came out and the 14-year-old living rent free inside of me just took control over my brain? I put everything on hold and started rereading the entire Twilight Saga while I waited for my copy of the new book and it is a lot of pages, folks, but it’s also sort of magical to dive back into the world that was my OBSESSION as a teen.

Needless to say, my Forks vibes have been activated and I spent the whole week listening to ASMRs of rain of window panes and howling wolves or soundtracks from the movies, I avoid the sun at all costs and only take walks when it’s gray or dark, and obviously it’s all just as healthy as it was when I was 16. Top 5 Books I Read During Quarantine

When the lockdown began, I was all: THIS IS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO WRITE 3 BOOKS AND READ A MILLION MORE!

Of course, I read less than I usually do because mental health and quarantine do not go together. But I’m finally finding my rhythm again, which is great news! And I still read quite a few books, considering, including some new favorites!

Anyway, here are the top 5 books I read during this weirdly awesome and terrifying time.

Top 10 Books I Read in 2019

2019 was a great year for me in terms of writing (my first book got published!) and living (I spent the summer writing and doing small roadtrips and camping trips with friends, and I went to Prague and Austria again in May!) but it wasn’t what I’d hoped for in terms of reading unfortunately.

Me inside the infinite tower of books in Prague 🙂

I only read 44 books instead of the 52 I’d set for myself, and I feel like I DNFd a lot of books this year, but I’m still really proud of everything I’ve accomplished in the last year.

But without further ado, here’s my Top 10 Books I Read in 2019! Continue reading “Top 10 Books I Read in 2019”

10 Reasons Why The Raven Cycle is Awesome

I recently (last night) finished the amazing series that is The Raven Cycle, and I have to say, I wasn’t completely in love when I finished reading the first book, especially because that last line really confused me, (and yet now that I’ve read the whole thing I absolutely ADORE that last line).

But.

I became more and more in love with the books as I read and at the end I swear to you I was talking and screaming at the characters TO BE CAREFUL AND DON’T GO IN THERE ON YOUR OWN GANSEY MY BABY because that’s how much I care, now. There is no going back.

And if that doesn’t convince you to pick up this series already, here’s 10 reasons why it’s absolutely awesome. Continue reading “10 Reasons Why The Raven Cycle is Awesome”

Summer Goals Book Tag

Here’s the thing.

I took the summer off work to write 3 books and read 1000 books and travel everywhere and of course like always I set myself WAY TOO MANY GOALS AND I’M SLIGHTLY FREAKING OUT BECAUSE GUYS, JULY IS ALMOST OVER?

How?

Why?

Really how?

So I figured the best thing to do would be to play a game and pretend everything is all right. (I live in constant denial. Cheers to that.) Continue reading “Summer Goals Book Tag”

Top 10 Books Read in 2018

I know. I’m late. But technically, I think we can make 2018-related posts all through January. And I have a good excuse: I’M WRITING TWO BOOKS AT THE SAME TIME OH MY GOD MY LIFE GONE CIAO WHY PLEASE NO.

I’m just editing so much and editing literally turns my brain into an unstable piece of uselessness, so whenever I’m not working or writing, I curl in a ball and watch The Office a.k.a my new reason to live.

It’s a tough beginning, 2019. BUT I READ 51 BOOKS IN 2018 YAY.

And here’s my Top 10, in no particular order: Continue reading “Top 10 Books Read in 2018”

Mini Halloween Book Tag

Hello everybody! October is almost over which means 2 things:

  1. Candies and chocolate come to mama//Halloween
  2. NANOWRIMO OH MY GOD WILL I MAKE IT OUT ALIVE?

In-between panic attacks, I felt like doing a quick book tag on the theme of Halloween, and of course I found out there’s a LOT of tags on that theme out there, and I got a little overwhelmed at the idea of finding one, since most of them are quite long. So I just decided to make my own little Halloween Tag.

Here it is!

Top 5 Books to Read During Back to School

September usually marks the beginning of a new school term, and I honestly didn’t think I’d be going to school this year, but life has a way of driving on my plans with a bulldozer.

For a couple of weeks, and against all my survival instincts, I swear, I’ve been really interested in a course with the University of Toronto that’s only available in class, and I decided to scream: I’M HERE, DEBTS, FIRE AWAY!

I registered. Continue reading “Top 5 Books to Read During Back to School”
