My favorite author/vlogger ever is by far Jenna Moreci. She’s hilarious, she’s brilliant, and she knows what she’s talking about when she talks about writing. So today, I thought I’d just share one of her videos to you guys, and discuss my top 3 romance tropes out of her top 10!
it was like that
it was lungs so fragile they could rip
and a heart so angry it would grip
it was like this
it was leaves on the ground so lifeless
and the urge to kneel down and notice
I believe the first step to accomplishing your goals is to write them down. Even better if you share them publicly–holds you accountable. Nothing like pride to push me to finish something I told everyone I would.
This is literally how I roll.
Step one: broadcast my goals.
So here are my goals for 2020!
This week’s inspiration is Seville, Spain.
I took this photo on a very hot day at the Plaza del Toro.
the sand had settled
but still reached my nose
the sun was evil
blinding all of those
who thought the battles
were just meant for ghosts
i was told
more than once
there’s a spark Continue reading “Travel Memory Rambling – Banff”
I want to start this weekly challenge where I pick a random photo from my previous trips and use it as inspiration to write a short piece.
This week’s inspiration is Nicaragua.
I took this photo on the beach of San Juan del Sur.
the sky was a mess of blood
the clouds had been massacred
no one could say how it happened
no one was left to tell the tale
i look for you in the fog
not even me
i’ve searched for you more than once
in this life
in a previous one
in a future one i’ll bet Continue reading “the fog on us”

I’m currently in the process of editing a book AND writing a completly different novel in a different language and I’m trying not to go absolutely crazy so I’ve been looking for tips online on how to maintain mental stability while doing that.
I found nothing.
But I did manage to compile a few editing tips that are totally helping me keep my sh*t together!
THIS IS NOT A DRILL!
My upcoming YA novel officially has a cover and it’s absolutely stunning! I love it so much and I’m so freaking excited to share it with you guys today!
I DID IT! I wrote a book in a month! More specifically, I wrote 40 000 additional words to an existing 35 000-word YA dystopian WIP I had, resulting in a 75K first draft.
As you may know, my goal for September is to finish my WIP (a YA dystopian/fantasy). That represents about 40K words to reach a first draft of approximately 75K.
During days 1 to 10, I wrote a sad total of 7, 193 words, reaching 42,193 words.
And now I’m sharing the numbers of the second part of the month, aka THE FREAKING ROLLER COASTER PART BUT IT’S OVER NOW, MR. FRODO.
People! My book will officially be released on Oct. 18, 2019. As in, A MONTH FROM THIS VERY DAY.
Consider my level of chill a goner.
And you can get the first two chapters for free today by subscribing to AWA! Isn’t that AWAsome? (Sorry, My Chill used to regulate my bad puns.)

Are you, like me, a writer hoping to tackle your writing goals for September? We should totally motivate and support each other!
Throughout the month of September, I’ll be posting updates of my writing progress, quotes and videos that are keeping me motivated, and fun writing tags to get to know more about other writers’ WIP!
So if that’s something you’re interested in being part of, Continue reading “September Writing Group”
