Waking Up in a Tent with this View

Last night I arrived in Banff and camped on my own for the first time. It was a little bit scary, to be honest. (I’m such a wimp.) I was awaken in the middle of the night by the rustling of the bag in which I keep my shoes, right outside my tent. Me: Come on. I thought we’d been through this.
God: Oohh, let me sabotage your trip a little more.
Me: What? No. No. Enough.
God: But I’m having a blast! Come on, man, one last fail. One.
Me (sighing): One, and then you stop.
God: One, and then we’ll see.
Me (chiding): God.
God: Okay. I’ll stop.
Me: Thank you.
God: Tsk. Party pooper.
