2019 in Travels

Sometimes, you plan out the year to go in a certain direction and then life takes you competely by surprise and pushes you on an entirely different path. This was 2019 for me.

I had planned the greatest unusual trips for myself, but then I got an email from a publishing house with the most amazing news an aspiring author could possibly hear, and the launch of my very first book took all the time and energy that I had. I postponed many trips. But it’s okay.

It’s more than okay.

And I still got to do loads of travelling and adventuring in 2019, (just not as much as my travel-addict ass is used to). I’m still super happy about that.

Top 10 Books I Read in 2019

2019 was a great year for me in terms of writing (my first book got published!) and living (I spent the summer writing and doing small roadtrips and camping trips with friends, and I went to Prague and Austria again in May!) but it wasn’t what I’d hoped for in terms of reading unfortunately.

So here’s what I read in March: Continue reading “March Wrap-up”

February Wrap-Up

Goals achieved:

  1. Read 5 books, including one in Spanish??? (feeling smart)
  2. Edited my manuscript Devonna and sent it to my agent (feeling awesome, and nervous AF what is this new life of mine?)
  3. Edited half of my other manuscript I’m writing in French (because who needs a social life? me. definitely me.)
  4. WENT ROCK-CLIMBING TWICE EVEN THOUGH I’M TERRIFIED OF IT AND THE OPPOSITE OF STRONG (feeling like a freaking ninja)
  5. Reached 1,000 followers on AWA (feeling proud)
  6. Put my flat on Airbnb to fund my next trip to Asia (feeling overwhelmed; I was not expecting that many reservations and requests in less than a week and this to become a second full-time job, but oh well, as I said, who needs a social life anyway? ME. OH MY GOD ALL THE WAY ME.)
